Abstract. Kopimism, a new religion officially recognized by Sweden in 2012, is based on the principles that copying, disseminating and reconfiguring information are not only ethically right, but are in themselves “sacred” acts of devotion.

Using Osterberg cells (O-cells), a load test was conducted on a large bored test pile constructed in 2006 for the Golden Ears Bridge project, east of Vancouver, British Columbia. Unique aspects of the test included depth and diameter of shaft, subsurface conditions, excavation technique, weight and length of rebar cage sections, cleanout of excavation, and positioning of the two O-cells.

Many patients affected by muscular dystrophies due to dysferlin deficiency carry pathogenic dysferlin alleles encoding missense mutated proteins, which are degraded by the proteasome. In vitro evidence suggests that such proteins might be functional if salvaged from degradation. Administration of a proteasome inhibitor to three patients harboring a homozygous dysferlin missense mutation led to.
Dysferlin prevents HDAC6 from deacetylating alpha-tubulin by physically binding to both the enzyme, via its C2D domain, and to the substrate, alpha-tubulin, via its C2A and C2B domains. We further show that dysferlin expression promotes alpha-tubulin acetylation, as well as increased microtubule resistance to, and recovery from, Nocodazole- and cold-induced depolymerization.
Altered autophagy contributes to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and other tauopathies, for which curative treatment options are still lacking. We have recently shown that trehalose reduces tau pathology in a tauopathy mouse model by stimulation of autophagy. Here, we studied the effect of the autophagy inducing drug rapamycin on the progression of tau pathology in P301S mutant tau.

This work is motivated by the need to link recent large-scale ICIJ projects such as the Panama and Paradise Papers revelations to ongoing theoretical discussions about emergent forms of journalism. It is argued that the ICIJ provides evidence of the emergence of a “global network journalism” characterized by a particular epistemology (a global outlook on social reality) that is embedded in.
